Those drying mats also make excellent placemats. The cushioning helps keep food warm, and they absorb spills.

Hi! I love the pillow case idea, but not for dual purpose shoe bag/pillow case. Thanks for helping me to see that DT has excellent options for travel bedding! My DT has travel packing cubes now. I haven't inspected mine yet, but they might be a good candidate for Cricut labeling, too.

Thank you for some great ideas. BTW, one way to get pets to use a new bed or bed cover is to sit on it for a little while. Usually, they will like it because it has your scent on it. If they still don't want to use it, there is probably something they just don't like about it.

thanks for the ideas on using those white satin pillow cases. I really like the IKEA zippered clothing bags, but they are not avavilable (anymore?) so this will work to replace a couple so I can use the zippered ones for longer items. Hope that makes sense! I like how you personalized yours. I went down the rabbit hole of HTV at Temu for my summer t-shirts and wish I had seen your idea before I made my purchases! They are very affordable and adhere to pretty much any fabric you can iron on medium-high with an ironing cloth. I also like the idea of giving items that stay next to the bed a temporary home. How many times have I dropped my eyeglasses after going to bed?! too many times. I also keep nose spray and eye drops bedside and those containers would work too. Thanks for working here!

Y'all who are nay-saying the shoes in the pillowcase idea; your shoes are going to be inside the pillowcase, so how are they dirtying the the outside where your face will be? They are not the thickest fabric, but "getms" won't be traveling through dry fabric. And, if your shoes smell that badly, perhaps you need to sanitize them.
