Dinner last night at my place. I made 3 hamburger patties a good size. The ingredients were crushed Ritz Crackers...a raw egg..salt pepper..garlic powder..chopped onion etc. Turned my oven onto 350 degrees and put hamburger patties inside a fry pan which has a lid. Poured the barbecue sauce you are showing all over and cooked for approx. 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Delicious! I have two patties left and will eat them Mon. And Sun. Served with a cucumber tomato onion salt and pepper and crushed garlic salad. Did not need any oil. Really good dinner. Canadians use Ritz Crackers every day and as an alternative to bread crumbs it's excellent.

Same for 2 seniors. Hub's 84th BD was the 19th, and Kroger's meat guy repackaged it to 2 for me. The first time they've ever done it since the lockdown. $21+, with a baked potato, and a pint of previously bought ice cream, just enough for 2. If we had gone out I hate to think what it would have cost.

I dehydrated my own hash browned potatoes this week. The food pantry we went to for our elderly neighbor gave us 4 bags of potatoes. You could already smell they were starting to go bad and she only wanted 1 bag, so I took them cut them up with my mandolin, then blanched them for 2 minutes and onto my dehydrator they went. I also made a lot of potato slices that way. No extra preservatives in them like the store brought ones. Waste not want not.

I use those Hungry Jack shredded potatoes, put butter and onions on them while I cook them and they are delicious, I definitely stock those

I love your videos Danno and Jess. I used to live alone but my 3yr old granddaughter lives with me so buy from 1.25 store is sometimes a better option. Things don’t go to waste or expire so fast. I also send lunch and dinner to daycare when I’m at work so buying food there instead of already pre packaged items from other stores last longer. I can get at least 2 weeks worth. ❤❤❤thank you guys from updates

Greetings from North Carolina! Good morning Danno! Thank you doing the Dollar Tree this morning. Time for me to do a stock up run and you’ve given me a few things to look for. For those who haven’t tried their shelf stable milk - DO! We’ve had all 3 of the %s. No one could tell that the difference between the fresh milk and the carton. I usually buy a half gallon of milk and at times I run out before grocery shopping day that’s when the cartons come in handy. I keep one carton in the fridge at all times. It cooks up just fine and is great on cereal too, not to mention puddings. Looking forward to my next adventure at the dollar tree! 👊🏻👋

Salmon vacuum seals great. I put it in a zip lock bag to flash freeze, then put that bag (opened) in the FS bag and seal. No freezer burn and your steaks won't smell like fish .😊

The Ranch and Bacon Suddenly Salad is my favorite. Those Hugry Jack potatoes, irrc, don't have anything except potatoes... no oils, etc,... so they will last almost indefinitely, just store in an airtight container.

I never got the notification for this video this morning. I wanted to share this info for people in Michigan who shop at Family Fare and affiliate stores. This week they have their 10/$10 sale. There are some good pantry items . Oh liquid death is the best! I first discovered them a few years ago at an outdoor concert and thought it was beer when I asked for water. I said no thank you I’m driving. I was like okay. I buy them in a case sometimes and they have flavored now too. Absolutely the best & $1.25 a can is amazing. I have a can of it chilling in my fridge now. So good.

Our Dollar Tree here in San Diego is a little different. Had more food products 1-2 years ago. they've gone with more of the non-food items. Wish they would carry the food items they once had. The toothpaste/toothbrush isle is emplying out.

I just got a bunch of snacks from the Dollar Tree yesterday and those peanut butter and chocolate cookies are really good! Also, I always freeze my Salmon as soon as I get it. I freeze it in the package it is in though. The salmon from Aldi is always so good!!

Good morning Danno and Jess! Enjoying the Dollar Tree trip. All the food items you grabbed we regularly have at my local 1.25 tree. You're right about the bread. I've had several people tell me that you gotta get there early. Also, with the food saver bags, they basically mimick what you find in the store. I buy the frozen salmon and it's packed in 2 oz portions. Use that machine. Test things out. It really will save the flavor of your food😊.

I love $Tree. Glad to see you focus on all the great food choices & they have more than ever! Great spices, condiments, Toast'Ems, frozen veggis some good (mixed peppers👍) some not (broccoli 👎). I don't use much cooking oil so their small bottles are perfect. I can use it up without it going rancid. Enjoyed shopping with you!🙂

That DT brand chicken flavor cup soup (3/1.25) is MUCH better than the standard Nissan or Manchu. The broth tastes better plus the seasoning and vegetables are in separate packs so you can add to taste, or use the noodles plain.

For no real reason, we have been skipping past our local Dollar Tree, but for the least couple of moths, we have stopped at one or two in Louisville when I have had to go with Joe-the-Husband. I will be going on Wednesday. Peopel need to read the labels for themselves, as many foods are cheapened down, especially at Dollar Tree.

In most cases, seafood is previously frozen, then thawed when you are purchasing it. So if you refreeze it, the quality will be diminished. Best to eat it the day you purchase it. Or smoke it.

Good afternoon! The price printing on labels virtually guarantees they are morphing into Family Dollar Redux. The Sunco oats are one of the best DT pantry items. Their old-fashioned are best served with your own stir ins like walnuts or pecans and raisins. Way better than the Quaker instant Raisin Date and Walnut packets with with extra sugar. I’m so glad Top Ramen is coming back! Those Twisted Noodles ones are definitely not the greatest for the way I use them as a fast spaghetti alternative. Top Ramen noodles don’t stick together and the Twisted ones seem to.

Danno what is the deli meat prepackaged or actual deli. It is confusing..I go to a dollar general or tree I usually go to giftwrap and toys , decorations. But I am sure you can save money on food products. Especially zip lock bags etc.
