If you'd had that unigear sleeping bag too you would have been sorted, that thing is so warm when you pull those drawstrings in. Taken it down to about 2°c (about 35°f) and was more than good. Always double the fire wood you think you need 😂 😂 😂

If you get the Mylar balloons, cut them open and line the back side of your shelter with Mylar it will reflect the heat doubling the benefit. Using less wood. BTW, the Dollar store is the fastest growing food retailer in the US. I know, I’m everyone favorite trivial pursuit partner.

@HandfulOfTranquility
@HandfulOfTranquility Жыл бұрын
@@AdventureswithSpackmann you don't need it closer, infrared travels well. What getting it closer does is gets you a larger portion of what is given off. You can mimic the same thing though by making your fire longer. A fire twice as long would do about the same thing as moving the fire 20%closer. The down side is of course burning twice as much wood, up side is being warmer and also not setting your shelter on fire
@AdventureswithSpackmann

@Handful of Tranquility right on. I thought I made it long enough but longer would have been better.

I like Utz chips, I think their redhots are the spiciest available.. I have 2 PUR filter jugs for the house and fill my containers fro when Im out but tghen Im not drinking from streams either... You can get jars full of pickled sausages here and yes you can grill or cook them, they also work well with potatoes, onions and peppers as a hash or chopped up in ramen, sliced on a pizza like pepperoni etc... boss idea with the zippers!! I like using the rope mop head strings for wicks, they work with oil, lamp fuel or alcohol (I prefer alcohol for heating the house theres no smoke) I can get 4-6hrs of flame from a salsa/queso size jar with a 1/4" wick... your torches certainly put out some light!
