Hi everyone, thanks for watching! I never intended fights to break out over who is the original owner of the doll. I actually dug back into my Etsy account and found the real buyer's name, so I know who it is. I'd love to see a Kiyomi "face-up" where they just remove the factory paint and that's it. She's a Noppera-bo, or a No-Face demon/ghost. I just think it would be fun. Beautiful work, though. Your color balance is always spectacular!

I used to love monster high dolls when I was a kid and not long ago I found my old box of them they weren't that new looking and could have used a face up but I didn't even know about doll repaints at the time and I gave them away .. now I'm really mad at myself because my dad is an artist and has all the things I need all I need now is a doll (because I really want to try this) but I feel weird about spending my money on a doll when my parents know I could have recycled my own ones .....but still I think I might get one second hand off of eBay or something grrrrrrr I wish I knew you earlier lol

I kinda have the opposite problem. An angel gave me her daughter's old monster high dolls, the ones before they got popular and now I am trying to get all the supplies I need to do the repaints, but struggling at that, because money is hard to get right now since my husband is fighting for his disability still and almost all of our money goes to gas, bills and what the kids need. It can really suck trying to do stuff like this later in life. I can relate to how you feel.

Kiyomi is a faceless ghost since she is a Noppera-bō, a yōkai from Japanese folklore. Usually a Noppera-bō will project the illusion of a face, only to swipe it off revealing a smooth area where a face would be. I would say that Kiyomi is projecting the likeness of a face! :D

I absolutely looooooove the haunted Spectra! Usually I'm not a huge fan of the spectra dolls because of her transparent arms and legs but the haunted version has this iridescent shine, which is extremely beautiful. I own one myself and I'm saving her for a special project!

Kiyomi is the only doll i'll never use to repaint or custom. She is to beautifull for me to change anything in her *^* but, you made awesome work like always!

It would have been cool to use the method of dealing without MSC on this doll. I love Rochelle's face, and I think the shininess and dewiness of her skin is part of what makes her look so good! This ghostly doll would have also looked good with that texture of skin. It might have added to her ghost-like appearance.

Rewatching this because I just bought a MH lot and it has a Kiyomi (her lower leg has been popped off but nothing some aggressive crafting can't fix). She's one of my favorite dolls and I'll be happy to finally have one to customize 😊
