@@psn64sat63 This was discussed last year on twitter pretty extensively from folk who actually worked the program - most non profits who participate in her program have to pay for the books - her program is basically the same as a book of the month club where her org is negotiating bulk book printing deals with manufacturers. Her organization is not literally buying these books and sending them to the end user, there is a multitude of in between non profits that are picking up the slack (and the bill) to sign up people and deliver these. The existence of this program has in fact been used to justify States' lack of funding into their own literacy programs.

Gallowglass It’s been proven to Angry Shamrock. Since no court has examined the evidence you can’t say he’s wrong. I believe fraud is inevitable when you use machine counting. You have to have clear and obvious oversight or human nature will inevitably lead to fraud. Especially when the choice is a binary one. Anyway, would you agree that Dolly should have that shirt framed and hanging next to her platinum records in Dollywood. She has the captain’s shirt of an 8 time World Football Champion. Correction 9 time champion. He won the All-Ireland as a coach too.

I am from Ireland, but don't live there now. As a former Gaelic football player It was not lost on me the really great gift that Paudi O Se generously gave to Dolly Parton. He wore that jersey with pride in 1995, and it would have been of enormous sentimental and emotional value to him. It's value has much more significance in my opinion than Dolly singing Coat of many Colors. Don't get me wrong I love the hugely talented Dolly. To Paudi, rest in peace.

@jamesdolan40423 жыл бұрын
@@christianpatriot125 Since the GAA are an amateur organisation the monetary value of Paudi O'Se's shirt is not a consideration here. However, the sentimental value of the shirt, I am certain for Paudi was beyond priceless, and all the more so because he was a native Irish speaker and captained the Kerry team that year. Having watched the Patriots all these years when Tom Brady was quarterback I would definitely say a Super Bowl, MVP shirt worn by him would have a priceless sentimental value. In this instance I would have no clue as to it's monetary value, that is if a monetary value should be attached to these things..

Such a pure mountain voice, you can hear it in every note she sings, and I'm sure all the Irish folks there that night heard their ancestors' influence in that music as well, their( and the Scot's) cousins across the pond created country music with the instruments they brought with them, it was about ALL they brought. They built cabins and stills in those mountains, the Germans and English came and set up breweries, and to this day, Americans drink WAY more hard liquor and beer than wine, it's not even close. Fun fact.
