Your experiences with the frosting reminded me of my dad who died in 2021. When he baked my birthday cakes, he wouldn't wait for it to cool, turning them into practically a crumble with frosting mixed in 😅 At least it's the thought that counts. They were still good.

Hi Michelle, your cake looks delicious! Love your white Tupperware cake holder. My Mum had one just like it when I was growing up. Your vintage Bundt pan is lovely. I have a similar one, mine is harvest gold. Great tip about adding a bit of milk to the frosting. I will look locally to see if anyone carries Dolly’s cake mixes. Have a great weekend.❤

That looks delicious, I use Bundt pans too. I really like it. Sometimes I use different coffee flavorings to thin out the icing. I have tried the pumpkin spice and the french vanilla. It was good. I have not tried the others as I don't always have them in the home. Like with the milk a small amount goes a long way. Its funny, I have had cake on my mind lately and you have inspired me. I will need to make one soon. Thanks for the video 🙂

I've never heard of Dolly Parton cake mixes before. Are there different flavors ? Your cake turned out perfectly !

Whatever that cost plus half a quart of milk and almost a half dozen eggs is another 4 bucks... eggs are 8 bucks or more a dozen now

You can substitute mayonnaise for eggs. 3 TBSP=1 egg. I would not replace all 4 that way but 2 eggs and 6 TBSP mayo would be more cost effective. There are other things that are good egg substitutes also. You can find many videos on that topic. Good luck and God bless.
