Did you know that song is originally based around the story of Silver Dollar City’s fire in the hole. You hear the word Baldknobbers referenced through that song. The BladKnobbers were an antitrust Vigilante group in the ozarks who robbed and at times would destroy property and even kill their victims. That’s what Fire in The hole at Silver Dollar city Branson is based on. Shame the original ride is closing.

The Blazing Fury is the only one of it's kind. I've been to The Fire in the hole and it can't compare to the Fury, but things are always changing. Thanks for sharing.

@@donnielaws7020 Blazing Fury and Fire In The Hole are sister coasters, since Dollywood used to be Silver Dollar City Tennessee. The coasters are the same ride with different stories. Personally I've always cared more for Fire in the Hole since it was the original. The Baldknobbers burning the town was based on a true story and the splashdown was never removed.

The funny thing I work at Dollywood there are still secret spots in blazing fury yes they got rid of the water on the last drop because it was deteriating some of the scenes the only scene that has water is a mountain like view that but how ever all the original scenes are still there and the water was also causing some electrical issue

I'm sorry i don't understand what Block Sections. The Fury never had any Blocked sections. All of the ride all is open if that is what you mean at Dollywood.

DONNIE LAWS I’m talking about a section on a roller coaster that has a method of stopping the train at the end of it. Vast majority of coasters are divided into block sections. Their purpose is to prevent trains from colliding with one another. Sorry if I confused you.

@@chrisschnizer4395 there is always a dead section between trains and if they trains get close together or take too long to get to a different limit switch the ride e-stops and if they are running 3 trains and one of them sits on the loader for too long the ride stops

It was either June or July of 1990 I finally got to go to DollyWood. I really don’t remember much or any of it tho but in my defense I was barely 12 lol Only reason I remember June/July of 1990 is because my brother graduated H.S. early June 1990 & my mom,”step” dad, my brother & I all drove up from the Florida Keys Key Largo to be exact to Gatlinburg & my “step”brother, 2 “step” sisters drive down from Illinois for all of us to stay in a cabin lol

It’s abit strange they kept the queue audio from fire in the hole at silver dollar city Branson MO. Btw, blazings fury’s scenes are the exact same buildings expect for the stable, outhouse, and them putting out the fire, and the start of the ride, the ride layout is the same. But Dollywoods version has NOTHING to do with baldknobbers yet they kept the audio.

I’m curious what they are going to do with this ride now since Silver Dollar City is closing their Fire in The Hole in place for an upgraded version of the ride. Honestly I kinda hope they leave Blazing Fury be. But I mean a new update with some animatronics and restored audio and maybe new lighting would be nice I guess.

For 30 years the trains would track water around the ride causing things to rot out and rust the ride steel. It was a constant battle maintaining it. Now they went to magnetic braking system to slow down the trains instead of water. But this affected the effect of the ride.
