Like others, my impeller motor stopped working & wasn’t just clogged with hair. A wire in the brushes circuit board wasn’t soldered good, came lose, and required re-soldering.
Video starts with everything torn down and rebuild from there.
I forgot to include reassembling the too housing, but it’s just 4 screws and snaps back together with the side housing pieces pretty easily. Just take your time.
I lucked out, no bad parts but hopefully the vid helps someone. It is very in-depth in hopes it helps keep someone from having to disassemble the motor 3+ times like I had to. It also has some basic electronic troubleshooting steps in the vid.
The entire housing is $300 on Amazon or just the motor alone on Ebay is $80+. So having repaired it for $0 I feel pretty good. As I type this, the vaccum is still working away on the pool so I’d say that’s a successful repair!
