Nice cutting Walnut you must have one strong blade to maneuver around walnut I have 14 bandsaw could never cut black walnut like this

Hi Lou! Thank you very much, my friend, for watching the video and leaving a comment! My bandsaw is from Grizzly, the G0513X2BF, I believe is 17". The blade, though, I got from Cheers! Daniel Highland Woodworking, I put the link following: www.highlandwoodworking.com/woodturners-bandsaw-blades.aspx It is the woodturner's blade, which has few teeth per inch and they are set, so they leave a wider cut, but it is great for cutting bowl blanks. This black walnut was really dry and hard (you will see it in the third video of the series I had to sharpen the knife very often to be able to cut it), but the bandsaw blade did not have any trouble to cut through it. I had a rake configuration blade before (the one from Highland is a hook configuration) and that one could not cut even softer woods when the piece was too wide. It was designed for finishing cuts (smoother) but it would burn the wood if trying to tackle a larger piece. The new blade leaves a slightly rougher cut, but cuts like going through butter. Cheers!
