Some residents in the south suburbs are concerned after the Dolton Mayor and Thornton Township Supervisor promised a $1 million dollar giveaway, which turned out to be public funds.

How did she avoid being recalled? The residents of Dolton voted to recall her election one year after she was elected but somehow she used the court system to stay in office . People blame the residents for voting her in. They tried to correct their mistakes and got shafted

On the recall vote, it was turned down because the same vote was used to push the legislation that governed how recalls are handled. They needed to vote on recall procedures and then have the recall election.
