Met Dom in 2004 and was lucky enough to have been able to spend some time learning from him. It was an amazing experience. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I had the great pleasure of literally "almost bumping" into Mr. Famularo at a PAS conventions (ca. 2000). We were walking in opposite directions making our way through a set of double doors. We looked at each, and I briefly recognized the face I'd seen over the years in drum magazines. But it was he who said hello first and put out his hand. We spoke for maybe 2 or 3 minutes when he read on my badge that I was a college music student. He was as encouraging and positive as anyone would expect. We went from strangers to drum buddies in a single moment. Wish I'd spent more time chatting with him.

I met Dom at a Tampa drum expo at around 1990…. He was a natural ambassador of music and peace. I love that life’s hardness couldn’t crush the joy he got from playing drums.

I fell to my knees the moment Marco notified me, couldn’t sort housing to make his service …stood in the back of the ballroom the entire time at this gathering, thank yall so, so much for every aspect of this event. ‘Randomly’ running into Joey B after practically wandering the tradeshow like Dom would emerge around a corner ..Dom most certainly is navigating from next realm …my heart, constantly with everyone from immediate to extended. I’ll be in touch soon to help every way I can to keep Sessions & Dom’s legacy present and growing via the renegade & official SXSW events I now own & produce. …thanks specifically to Dom motivating me early on to approach my life, & career in the most creative, high integrity high quality & original ways I could aim for 💖 onwardly, and upwardly, in deed❤️🔥

Dom was such an incredible force of nature. I feel so lucky to have met him and his support still is felt! This memorial was so special and seeing my friends and myself in the end of it literally brought tears to my eyes. This was the most connected NAMM I have ever been to. It's all because of Dom!
