Im new to picking and do you have any tips for how much tension i should apply?

@@rylanpien That is one of the simple questions with no simple answer😅 The answer would be as much as needed to get a feedback, but not too much to bend pick when setting the pin... But for a start - when you close your eye and press your finger to it only enough so it is not uncomfortable; that is roughly the amount of pressure to apply. With practice you learn how much pressure to apply and how to modulate it during the picking. One more thing - google "lockpicking detail overkill" - that is a great document that summarizes a lot of knowledge you'd be gaining a time otherwise.
