Yeah, Domas can't really redeem himself after that. But I wouldn't say he's a pure villain. Like pretty much everyone on this show he's complicated. He's one of those people whose greatest virtue is also their greatest flaw, in his case loyalty.

Domas is the epitamy of a coward. Following orders without thinking for himself, full well knowing that it's the wrong thing to do. The last episode (episode 15) showed that he would rather run away from responsibilty than facing his mistakes and wrong doings.

To begin with, Bosse's kingdom is probably very strict on what a knight's supposed to be. After all, Bosse earned the kingdom through battle, and he himself is a warrior ruler, so he probably built his military and political system on strict rules. You can clearly see that all of his 4 knights have no other choice but to carry out what their masters command, no matter where their hearts belong. The thing with Domas (Dumbass) is he's young yet too ambitious (he's the youngest among the great four). He wanted so bad to be the king's right hand and even desperate enough to commit murder. But then again he's not cold hearted enough to not regret his action.
