Like most of the other characters and majority of the viewers Daida infantilizes Bojii. Kids tend to learn from the adults around them. Daida is simply emulating majority of the adults in this series.

He's actually jealous of Bojji. Obviously because of Bojji's relationship with Hilling. Daida doesn't hate Bojji, as proven by the fact that he never drops the 「兄上」(aniue) honorific. Which is a very formal way if saying "esteemed older brother". That's also why Daida doesn't hold back with Bojji. Because Bojji, in his mind, while weak is still very much the older brother in their relationship. People forget Daida's half Bojji's age. He's a child, whereas Bojji is actually a preteen despite his stature. He wants to be a good king, but he's got some naive ideas on what that means and perhaps due to his age, he was easily manipulated by Miranjo.
