Once you clicked "Copy" in the rotate tool properties. Don't touch anything and just do CMD/CTRL D. It should work :)

Yes so follow these steps 1. Click on the tire shape and make 3 copies. CMD C and CMD F (twice) 2. Move the top shape to the right 3. Select the top 2 shapes and use the shape builder tool 4. Delete the shapes while holding "option" on your keyboard 5. Keep the shape you want the shadow to be!

So basically you need 3 of the same shapes over eachother. The last shape at the bottom is untouched while the 2 top shapes will be used with the shapebuilder :)
