Thank you for great videos. I’m not new to illustrator but looking to use it to it’s full potential. I also struggle to use it for character design. Designs can turn out fine in ps but when it comes to vectorising them a whole new story and time wasted trying to figure out outline placement with pen tool. Love your process of the illustration, and your technique of adding highlights and shadows. Thank you for the detailed, well laid out and clear tutorials. I’ve subscribed and can’t wait for future ones.

Hi Dom, on 6:30 how did you make the ends of rectangle to circular end immediately? I'm watching your videos and i learn from it by play-pause-play to follow your techniques 👍

All you have to do is click on the anchor points (corners of the rectangle) and u will see a dot. Just drag that it in to curve the corners :)

In case the offset does not produce the expected contour (version 26.3.1), try clicking on join first and then offset. These subtle differences can cause nightmare.
