Is it possible to construct a dome with metal triangles? Ie using metal channel tubing similar to business buildings?

I saw that there was a high profile and a low profile option. I understand conceptually what this means but specifically what is the height of the dome if it is say 40' diameter and high profile? How much of a riser height do you need to accomplish this? Do these change relative to the diameter? I am very tall and I don't know how well this would work for me.
