"Serra dos Órgãos" is such an amazing and indredibly beautiful album. Domenico is, with no doubt, one of the artists that are making a modern and vibrating music here in Brazil. A contemporary brasilian sound but still cosmopolitan in a very good way. I absolutelly love his work.

We'd just watched Stephane San Juan the night before playing with David Byrne, who I first met in London approximately 15 years ago when I recorded with him, Domenico, Kassin, Moreno Veloso, Phil Dawson and Kishon Kahn .. Stephane then went to live in Brasil, and worked extensively in music, and has just moved to New York.. and here we come together again, in London to record a live session of a song first recorded in London 4 years ago, with Sean O Hagan who I also met that day, recording with Domenico, so here he is bringing us together again through music, via Gilles Peterson's invitation, who ever since discovering Brazilian music keeps looking amidst the foliage and finding and sharing gems.
