This is not a common way to attach awnings where I’m from. I really like these Air up awnings but what is the channel you are sliding the awning into on the van?

So on the van there is a standard 6mm ‘C’ rail which allows the awning to slide straight onto the vehicle.

I would love to buy this awning. However, I don't know exactly how to detach the tent from the vehicle if you want to drive away and the awning is already set up. How do you reconnect the assembled awning to the vehicle? We have a piping strip on the vehicle. Can the lock of the awning be flexibly removed with a zip? because otherwise it would be a horrible, detailed job to fit the awning to the vehicle when you return from a trip... Do you know what I mean? Greetings from Germany, Michael
