At first we were very enthusiastic about the rarotonga601ftt but after second build up (first one was just to check for damages after delivery) we found breaks in one of the windows along the crinkles. Furthermore you have to be very careful in choosing your pitch. Slightes tilt sidewards wil lead to puddles on the roof because the roof is quite flat. And once you had puddles you will always get them because the tissue will wear out with the first puddle. Space is amazing and also the covered area outside is big enough to have a relaxing coffee while it is raining. And the storage space behind the sleeping cabins was a great idea. Also ventilation is a big pro though it does not prevent the tent to heat up in the sun, of course. The net bags at the sleeping cabin are a bit missleading as you cannot really put any weight in them without stretching the stitches of the sleeping cabin worryingly. Overall a great family tent but for this price I hoped to get sth more robust especially when you have bad luck with weather during vacation in great britain.

Does the mesh vestibule have a zipped curtain behind it? Or just pure mesh? Thanks!

Love the tents but they are heavy, they pitch well and are extremely well made. I just wish in the future that it could be made in 2 parts that zip together. In the USA we have to have TC and that makes it extremely heavy for me and my husband to cart around. Except for the weight its perfect.

Si tuviera acceso a una tienda de campaña así en españa ...haría un canal para mostrarle a españa/ europa esta belleza o la Dometic Rarotonga FTT 601 Air Tent 2021 con avance o la ascension 601... si me dierais la oportunidad no os fallaría... la gente en españa se ha vuelto campista a niveles desorbitados y podría proporcionar información de vuestro producto y mostrarle a quien quiera o sienta curiosidad en cada camping que visito. No obstante me gustaría saber el precio con el avance y con envio a España... aunque se me va el presupuesto.... pero si llegáramos a un acuerdo.... la voy promocionarla allá donde vaya... saludos

If you want to sleep in a blacked out room and push the natural world away from you then go for it. For me, the idea of spending time in a blacked out room is totally fine as long as that room is my photographic darkroom. Outside of that i like rooms i spend time in to be light and airy, welcoming and and a part of the landscape, not apart from it. I mean, what's the point of spending time in nature if you don't want to wake up when everything else does ? And black rooms ? Yuk, just yuk. I'll my keep Eureka Polycotton tent i've sheltered from storms in for days on end and been quite happy. I'd feel like i was in a punishment cell sleeping in Dometic tent.

Would you prefer to wake up when everything else in nature wakes up, even after you followed your kids to the toilet 2-3 times during the night? There is a big diffrence in camping alone or with other adults, compared to camping with kids 😂.
