Not owning the assets that makes them money is the problem imo, look at dmart they don't outsource their assets like these modern days cash burning companies (Uber,ola,Zomato) etc. Properitary assets are a must for sustainability,what you think Caleb ?

Is it ? What about KZbin, App Store, Fiverr, check what all apps you have on your phone most will be marketplace some how. All social media platforms are marketplaces for content. If u see just physical product marketplaces it may seem like a failure model for now.

@@Prabhakaranraj No, we were talking about online marketplace with sell physical goods, and you extend the concept by bring Saas company into marketplace , so i told it like that just for fun... actually saas marketplaces is a different animal, they don't have physicals product which require warehouse ,required big shipping infrastructure ,and required to protect from damage ,etc ..which all make more failure points . ...
