What is the use of saddlr stay if they are made if fibre or sort of plastic material, it is like waste of money. The design is very beautiful, it is compact insize . Easy to install and maintain but qould rwfer a stainless steel one.

I think not. The placement of the nuts should be same for fixing them. Compare d400 and 220F pillion fitment as the saddles will be fixed to the luggage carrier. It's made of high quality plastic.

Unfortunately no. It won't withstand higher load. The quality is good for a plastic material but you cannot expect to trust it for longer rides with full load. It can handle bags with less material in it for shorter city to city ride.

You need a mounting plate for the box. Attach the plate to top rack and then place the box above it. Plate is not too expensive.

Brother, there is no link for it. You must visit the service center, and go to spare parts guy. Tell him you need this part for D400 specifically. And they should place an order for you. It should be available to them in a weeks time. If they don't order it, lodge a complaint coz in some regions the service centers don't care about it.

It's not available readily. At least not in Delhi. You need to place an order by visiting the service center. Rs. 700 per saddle stay for each side. Plus rs. 200 for bolts 🔩 and rs. 400 labor charge. Estimated cost rs.2000

The build of the saddle stays themselves is plastic. But it's a good grade plastic. However not great for long tours. The connector screws are metal and so is the black covering plate below the screw.
