Another good tutorial, but I liked your new look for 2023 without the beard!!! I have a 2017 Dominar 400 D ABS, though I have not faced the problem of the oil and coolant mix, it was thought provoking. Hoping to bring the bike from Gujarat and having it checked by you totally. Double lip seal compatible with old 2015 Duke 390 sir? Also, double lip seal goes first then the shaft seal?

My problem is opposite there is no coolant mixing in engine oil my engine oil is fine and clean and ok and oil filter is also straight and clean but.... engine oil is mixing in the coolant it means the coolant is very oily when i open the radiator cap...do u have any suggestions

Coolant is an oily substance Did u feel any change in coolant colour? Means is it becoming black?

@@skautocare no coolant is clear green but sometimes in the radiator cap i find Milky substance sticking on it

I have the same issue i was worried that mayb my head gasket is burned hence the oil coolant mixer...could it be that i am right because i was riding the bike yet it was low on coolant/water

If head gasket is damaged Coolant wont mix with oil

@@skautocare Im planning to change the coolant so its not required to change seal?? And mine 31k kms service, planning to do self. Hi, I'm planning to do my Dominar 400 2019 UG, Service myself after this much of experience, no issues in bike jus general maintenance service, like Oil filter and engine oil, air filter, petrol filter, throttle body cleaning etc... anything else...

Nope Once u start facing issue then only go for it

I would rather suggest changing the coolant after 2 -3 years or after 20000 km. Most importantly, change the water pump seals if you are changing the coolant. It will save you a lot of money in the long run. It is a rare situation when coolant and engine oil mixing is due to a blown head gasket. Major such issues arise out of faulty water pump seals.

Coolant replacement we too recommend between 25-30k kms But wont suggest to change these seals unnecessarily Its a trick job And casing is fragile If any part damages beside balancer shaft while removing & fitting seals Then u will have to face major issue

I am facing starting problem in my dominar 400, the temperature in my area is touching single digit at night if i start my bike after 3-4 days first time it wouldn't start in one go..after cold start , it starts in one self..is it a serious concern?

Nope Its normal Also after starting make sure to keep it on idling for couple om minutes

@@skautocare dm ? It's basically the water pump . The pipe from coolant reservoir and water pump, between these two it's popping out. I was told to ignore it by Bajaj but I know there's something fishy.

@@skautocare it has been done. It was the burnt up coolant which looked like motul engine oil due to which the bike would stall automatically when the radiator fan goes ON. The coolant in the above reservoir was still greenish which led me to the wrong conclusion.

I am getting this issues after flushing the old coolent. It's reducing very slowly, even I check my oil filter, it's confirmed that it's mixing with engine oil

It is best to change both the water pump seals if you are flushing the old coolant and changing it with a new bottle.
