Just finished up my box. 8 mythics (sheoldred showcase, karn borderless, and foil serra paragon of note) but the cool thing for me were the list cards. Ended up with 10 of them. Karn liberated and an Aura Thief. Super exciting box.

Congrats on the great pulls! Didn't get to do any pre-release but got some pretty decent stuff from a set box, most notably a lot of pain lands. I gotta say though, it's wild that I pulled the same three signed art cards as you, and I think in the same order as well.

Got a Liliana out of my Set Box, a few List Cards and a couple of the different lord cards like Vodalian Hexcatcher (I think it's called). Serra Paragon was probably the best card in my prerelease kit

I got the Foil Lotus and green sleeve yesterday in my box as well as a $10 list card. Was a decent pull, added up to prerelease prices, total value was +$250. I only had one magic mini game card lol I really wanted a Sheoldrid

Draft box I had for a draft competition had no mythics. Bit of redemption though as the first 3 set boosters I opened had Serra Paragon, extended art Karn, and unwinding clock!

Thanks for the upload. Went to my first pre-release last night. Having a just couple of commander games under my belt, had no idea what i was doing. Thankfully the MTG community seems pretty friendly so a couple of people helped me put a deck together. Had great fun and learned a bit despite getting annihilated every round, lol. Out of interest, how do you tell what cards are of value ? Is it rares and mythics ? Reason i ask is I would like to find out is so i can sell cards i wont be using to help offset the cost of buying cards to add to the deck(s) i plan on using. Cheers

You either need to know what makes a card good (regardless of rarity) and know the metagame of every MTG format, or you can just look up the prices on TCG Player online😉

Nice box (and video)! The box I opened yesterday was quite similar to this one, though my Ajani is in English, an exotic looking language if you're Phyrexian. I, also, bought two of the Jump/Start packs. A good price at the LGS, $4.99 ea, and pulled a mythic Angel from it (I had also pulled one from the box). The surprise from my box: a Badger token. I didn't realize there'd b badgers here. Disappointments: The frequency of the glass lands, only 6, one of those foil, in the box; WOTC's selection for Box Toppers---Does anyone really enjoy getting foil uncommons as a topper? I was much happier with the Sol Ring promo for spending $50 or more at the store. All in all, I wasn't terribly disappointed,

Bruh why is it whenever I watch magictubers do a unbox, they all are like, "so let's just skip all this shit in the front and get to the rares! No one cares about the rest." Lol Still a great video, I managed to pull the Timeless Lotus and the new Jaya in my box and got I think around 5 list cards, so it was pretty good for me.

With good reason! The YT metrics show the longer an unboxing goes beyond 10 mins, the less people watch. This week I'll be going through every card like I usually do, which annoys the crap out of the people who only care about rarity and value!😉

@@MTGUnpacked fair point lol, as a person who watches yugioh, digimon and sometimes pokemon unboxes I'm used to actually looking at the cards and not just skipping them lol. Which always annoys me cause people are skipping past both really good artwork and good cards in general. But it's understandable

Looks like in this set they have put a bunch of Legendary Mythics that just look like what you could generally get as face of pre-cons Commander decks. I may be wrong but I don't see these be valuable even if they get to be popular commander. Like Jhoira, Weaterlight Captain was in Dominaria, a Mythic...3$. Lord Xander from Capena, Mythic... 2$. EXtus from Strixhaven, Mythic, 3800 deck on EDHrec... 1$. The other Mythics, Ajani, Karn, a lot of them will tank under 10$. Sorry, but I don't see this set holding strong EV, it may be a fun set, but currently i'm not willing to spend 200$CAD tx incl on a set box to end up with let say 60$ worth of cards when the price will have settled in about 1 month.

Same thing with the land cycle. They reprinted this cycle a lot. These will be like Temples in Theros and M20 (I think) and be worth a buck or two. This does not help to have these boxes hold value. Usually this is the lands when a good cycle is in the set that keeps being valuable.
