Personally I always called it 'add-a-car' Wastes. But then again, I don't care what how things are actually pronounced, I say it the way I want. Made me happy seeing a Dragon Whelp, nice throwback there! I love the Stained Glass cards, the lands are flipping awesome (the mountain in particular of course) and you should at least keep a set of them! Anyway, good stuff, the set might not be lighting the world on fire, but we never know what might happen and what cards will take off in the next few weeks!

Wow, I'm jealous. You pulled 6 pain lands and all 5 defilers. I think you did pretty good. My box only had 2 lands and I got the 2 worst defilers.

I'd say that was a pretty good box! I just opened my first set box, 5 mythics and 8 list. Second sunrise seems like an interesting card. Only notable mythics were serra paragon and vesuvan duplimancy. They went a little heavy with the uncommon legendaries, as you mentioned, but I've been looking for a pauper commander for a while and I see a few that are speaking to me. _not literally_ ! but it's hard following up 2x2. To make a short story long, I like the set!

Nice vid! Good to see someone else having a bugger of a time opening the Box Topper. In reflection, I can imagine that the box toppers were a last minute include. I'd been happier with a foil token, i.e. the badger or the insect, than the foil uincommon box topper.

My experience of limited on arena was not positive. Drafted a UB tempo deck and even going 6 cards up on my opponent and hitting my curve couldn't penetrate big dumb green stuff and the legendary uncommons. Feels very much like a win more set, tried 3 drafts and in around 16 games only 2 of them felt like they had back and forth interaction (I am a limited player in the last season in the traditional cube draft I went something 4 3-0, 12 2-1, 3 1-x, 4 0-x). That being said gonna gladly add many of these cards to my 250 prismatic dragon deck and some treats for other projects.

I'm new to mtga and was playing some sealed and it seemed sooo rigged. Like even more so than normal ranked matches. It was to the point where out of 4 sealed tournaments, I won my first and second games, lost the third, won the fourth, lost the fifth and sixth, all 4 times. Another time I had 3 out of my 4 mountains in my starting hand, mulliganed and again got 3 mountains in my hand. Is it usually like this?

I agree that this set is kind of ehhh. I like some things like the Phyrexian aspect, but most of the set is kind of whatever. But what really gets me is the price increase. 120 plus for a standard box, even if its a set box, is really pushing it for me. Past few standard sets have been quite mediocre, and It's hard to justify paying more when there is still even modern horizons 2 that is accessible.

Singles will end up being more expensive on average also. We are at the beginning of the ecosystem adjustment.

@@PackOpeningAddict I agree, there will definitely be an adjustment. I'm just not too sure it'll be in our favor though. You said it yourself in the video, Lilliana's price is going to drop drastically unless she is heavily used in Pioneer. Demand is what pushes prices the most, and if a card is not in demand or there is too much supply, I'm not certain that prices would go up to counterbalance everything. But only time will tell, in the meantime we have your videos to satiate our pack opening addictions haha

@@zeleros4027 there always is. People have to crack boxes to create singles. It's the reason the dragons in baldur's gate are so expensive. Less people cracking boxes. If the box price goes up and the cards crash entirely, no one cracks. No one cracks, greater constraints on available singles on the market, singles go up. Really I'm talking about stores mass box opening at the distributor cost they get stuff at.

Artifact sets are always busted, quite gross. Easy skip for me unless there is a warrior, cleric, wizard or cleric I really want. For me? This set is the set of the year, it is Invasion 2 and I started to really get into the game on Invasion, it's like coming home.

The power level of the set is low, the set kind of sucks, but I like it. The stained glass, the nostalgia (even though it’s a little forced). Lilliana just doesn’t make sense in the set… one powerful modern reprint into a non-reprint set. Just doesn’t fit, make something new

I personally think this set sucks. Jodah is way overpowered and don't really care about most cards.
