There's another top tip to counter anxiety and nervous energy loss, and that is to inhale slowly for 10s until you fully fill your lungs, hold it for 5+ seconds and slowly exhale. You'll feel calm, the anxiety will dissipate and you'll feel so much more relaxed. It really does work! I can't recall the biological reason or science behind it but it's real. For anyone who's competing in any sport and suffering from anxiety/nervous energy loss, try it!

The nerves used to kill me … I was a Muay Thai fighter but it’s all the same . I had several fights and won an amateur British Columbia title but I hung them up after that . I was good at fighting but I hated the buildup nerves . I’ve been coaching since . Those that can do …those that can’t …coach 😂😂😂😂👍 you did both well. good stuff here , coach . Thanks

This is exactly how I have felt in my fights . Spot on. For me it’s fighting in front of everyone. I could do spar someone from another gym and I have a healthy amount of fear but official fights in front of 100s makes my technique not as good.

I used to visualise. Now I will add other things. And I am sure these small small things gonna make huge difference in my fights this year. I had faught when i was 13. And I lost a winning state championships fight in just last 10 second of fight. After that day due to COVID lockdown and my studies reason I couldn't get any opportunity. You thinking your are going to get hurt is a natural instinct of your brain, as it tries to steer you out of the situation, and it is not just with boxing it is almost with everything else, like almost getting caught in ding dong ditch.

Another thing is that your subconscious mind is plain old confident and it knows what you have to do in order to atleast try to beat your opponent.
