Anyone else get goosebumps when John decides to turn on the horsepower? Every aspect of his game is a frightening level, you can see some opponents literally laughing that you can't move him. The guy can literally top roll a super heavyweight and it makes absolutely no sense lol. Paul Linn match last year was a favourite of recent times, looking forward to John v Denis at KOTT 2023

It's extreme hand and forearm strength. Determination, an iron will and a desire to show up the competition. That's why he pauses and holds to show dominance. Don't believe he doesn't enjoy it just cuz he's calm and respectful. Lol. Also his thumb And hand is large. Hard to control.

@@d_no_allyn_86 yeah totally agree, its just nuts that he can just find another gear once he's worked out where the weakness is. If his head starts shaking you're in trouble!

Yah he's def had an inhuman run he looks so normal at first glance then you notice his arms specially under strain

John and Devon are the only ones I always see doing the oxygen packing like deep divers do in free dive little gasps of air keeping oxygen up while straining. There also both normal looking at a glance there not like super big everywhere but they are in the right places

Truly admirable, he never tried to slip out when in a bad position, stood tall and directly in front of all opponents and never used this BS Kings move which should be called the pissant defence. Most of all gracious in defeat like a true champion and sportsman.

The only reason why John isnt considered as the greatest athlete of all time is armwrestling isnt as famous as other sports. No one , absolute no one in any other sports has dominated that long and that convincing ! We re so lucky to still witness him compete 💪

40 years? No way. Since 2010 he did not dominate armwrestling anymore. He was about 46 when he stopped dominating. I mean, he was still very good even then but not the best anymore. He was surpassed by the next generation at that point. So, he dominated armwrestling for about 25-30 years.
