Most Yankee fans who attended were likely either on vacation or business trips to California at the time since NY to California travel isn't cheap. I was at a bar patio, hanging with friends, watching this game in the background. I couldn't see the score or the sound, but probably caught the last 3 innings. Then the final out and the Yankees are jumping like they won the Series. Only then did I realize what I'd been watching. Amazing

As a Guardians fan, I hate the Yankees so much. However Domingo and the rest of this 2023 squad have my utmost respect. He pushed his limits and battled the whole game to get the outcome most pitchers merely dream about but he made it happen. Kyle behind the dish did an amazing job all game giving the perfect pitches to Germán and perfect pitch placement to get the called strikes.
