That is a definite must when you get done filling out the first blue form automatically grab a second one so you can fill it out why you were there and before you even get on your flight you have to learn how to use the kiosk because there will be a little baggage fee especially flying Delta and for the people there are traveling out of the ATL Airport using the subway system underground can be kind of tricky but you just find your flight it's either going to be a b or c terminal and you just get on the train and it'll stop off at A B C or D or ever and when you get off you go up the elevator in your flight terminal should be right there it's pretty cool even though Popeye's Chicken it's always packed I can never get in there

Jrob how are you doing man I appreciate your videos very very extremely helpful. I have a question for you in America when you’re going through security they have you go through sometimes body scanners which is fine. My concern is if they have them in the Dominican Republic and if they do I’m wondering if they are the same like in America as far as safety quality? Or are they cheap ones where you can possibly get a radiation dose of whatever level that could make you sick. I know this is kind of a crazy question but some people are afraid of those scanners because I’ve heard of stories where people have gotten a little bit sick from radiation poison. I’ve heard all the countries use them but they are not as sophisticated or as safe as in Airports like America?

I think I asked you before about if I should by a return ticket within the 30 days even if I plan on overstaying and you said it would not be necessary. My next question is, when customs asks me how long i plan on staying, should I tell them a date within the 30 days or should I just tell them the truth that I plan on over staying ? And how much time would you say the whole process takes from the time you land until the time you gain entry into the country ?

You forgot that if you don't have citizenship in that country you have to pay a fee $10 after that you claim your luggage. Hopefully their isn't people (depends on what airport your in ) trying to earn money they would grab your luggage and force you to pay them for helping you that's why I travel at night because I didn't like people trying to hustle me. Also you have to pay another fee when you leave D.R at the airport depending how long you stay in the country if you don't have citizenship in that country.
@ItsJrodtravel
@ItsJrodtravel 4 жыл бұрын
The $10 fee is the tourist fee , a long time ago they had physical cards they gave you, now they include it with the airplane ticket. In all the times I recently been they never charged me a $10 dollar fee at the airport, it was already included when I bought my ticket. And yes ppl do grab your luggage and ask for tips. I always ignore them or tell them I’m fine. Ironically the first time that happened to me it was when I flew in at 1am in the morning. They hustle at night as well. The only pro about traveling there at night is that the flights are cheaper, and a little less ppl, but for someone traveling there for the first time I would recommend going in the day. My first time I was in the DR it was 1am in the morning and I was lost and confused. I don’t recommend that for new travelers. As of now I don’t care about the time I fly in because I’ve done it 1,000 times and usually my friends get me from the airport. So I don’t have to worry about all the funny business.

@Cloven Spark Punta Cana is cool, but to get the real vibe of the country you have to get outside of Punta Cana. If you got a trip planned for vacation in P.C., it will be fun but try to get away to Higuey for a night or two. It's about a 25 minute ride. If you can't do that and you are staying on a resort, try to hit up a few of the spots where the local Dominicans party in P.C.

I have Verizon too but honestly I recommend you buying a mobile hotspot from “claro” when you get to the country because you are going to end up saving more money compared to using your service from the states. I have Verizon and one time I came back to the states my bill was $400 dollars. Verizon has a thing where you can pay $10 a day when you are overseas but that added up extremely fast. My bill was crazy. That’s why I don’t recommend using your international data plan. What you need to do is buy a mobile hotspot once you arrive to the DR. The mobile hotspot is $30 dollars and you keep it forever. The only thing you have to do is pay for the service it’s about 3-4 dollars every five days for unlimited data. or however many weeks you want. You can connect multiple devices to it and the battery lasts for a very long time
