WOW THIS ACTUALLY ALSO WORKS FOR LG SOUNDBAR REAR SPEAKER SPJ4-S I guess its just a default thing with LG audio devices... its like rear speaker channel is off by default until you cycle through the sound effect options... lame. WORKING NOW THANKS!

Power protection almost always requires the mainboard to be replaced. The cost of a motherboard is around Ksh 7000

Power protection means short circuiting. Check all your wired and ensure there's no short circuiting. It'll be fine. No need of new motherboards.

Hello Dom, Thanks for your videos. I have a problem with my LG Home Theater. I really hope you can help. I downloaded a firmware update from the LG site (I'm sure I got the right version for my model HT903TA-A2). While updating, there was power outage (a Nigerian problem) at 79%. When power was restored, i turned it on but the system turns off about 5 to 10 seconds later but won't boot at all (the fan spins). Please, what can i do? I'd really appreciate an urgent response. @@DominicGichane Hey Dom, it's me again. I tried the DVD receiver again and this time the screen that shows "Welcome" lit up. That doesn't happen even when it was working fine. I was even able to use the remote to change input to USB but it still didn't read the firmware update in it. When I received the home theater, it didn't turn on; probably because it hadn't been used in a while. I got it fixed before the issue happened. I'm telling you all these because I was wondering if it was possible for the remote to control the player if it was really a software issue. I've opened it and none of the capacitors is swollen. Could something else be the problem and not the firmware thing? Thanks.
