Gotta love Dom.. he’s got to be one of the most technical MMA fighters to ever do it, he just works SO hard in that octagon, he is a defensive god, perfect timing and is always staring directly at his opponent even as he cuts angles like a formula one racer he is staring them down. Just great vision and execution. Hate that he faced such major injuries in what I would consider the prime years of his career and despite all that was still able to come back and be a champ. I’d love to see him get another shot at Cody and then TJ, he still has it.

One of the greatest, if not THE greatest for bantam weight division. His defense was absolutely incredible, and his counter strikes were so perfectly timed and placed. And his cardio was so outstanding that he could keep up his original pace through all 5 rounds, which he did regularly, he doesn't have knockout power in his punches but that's ok because EVERYTHING ELSE was close to flawless. His defense and fight IQ was just out of this world and was leagues above everyone else. Along with his counter strikes which were also pretty legendary, amazing stamina, his grappling was good and he would throw people around or suplex them if he felt he needed some more points to win the round. His punch placement was also great, always finding his mark and accurately hitting wherever he pleases. It's just sad because his greatest strength was also his downfall, all that irregular angles and constant movement took a huge toll on his joints and tendons, and that's what led to his injuries which is super ironic, because he wasn't hurt from getting hit, he got hurt by AVOIDING hits smh. But pound for pound he is one of the greatest the UFC has seen, when he finally lost to Cody Garbrandt arguably in his prime, and after he had come back from a bunch of injuries, that was the first time he had lost in a decade! If you can go nearly 10 YEARS undefeated, that speaks volumes, and that HAS to put you in the GOAT conversation, at the very least in his division

Almost, I love TJ, no doubt about that, but his movement wasn't half as good as Doms in their fight...TJ HAS given Dom the toughest fight of his career, and is obviously the closest to Dom with (maybe) the exception of MM in footwork. I think MM would BEAT TJ if they ever fought, this is because there isn't so much of a size difference, and MM is faster, more experienced, a better grappler, and has fought guys like TJ before... TJ still does have a lot of time to get to Doms level one day, but right now he isn't there yet...

Compare Doms performance agains TJ to his performance against Cody, looks like two completely two different fighters. He fought so creative and fought in a yin state against TJ, everything just seemed forced against Cody. I hope he beats Cody in the rematch.
