An interesting review. I do admit our time with Plunder was actually some of the most fun I've had with Dominion YTD... but I'm sure the other expansions would probably change my mind.

Rebuild is not the most infamous, that honor definitely goes to Possession. It's definitely up there, though.

I suppose it depends on the metric we're measuring by; Possession can definitely slow down the game and is annoying in that regard, but Rebuild is usually considered the most broken, which is the primary thing I was thinking of when I made the statement.

@@AdamTheFanatic Possession is considered the most broken in my experience. There are so many ways to wreck people's decks with it, and it encourages you to make a worse deck so other people don't utilize yours as well. I personally dislike Rebuild more, because it's often useless and occasionally a boring monolith, whereas Possession can be interesting. But as someone who's been involved with the competitive community for over 2 years, let's just say there's a reason Possession was banned by default on one older online platform. I'd also like to add that until recently Possession stacked so you could take multiple turns with your opponent's deck for every one of yours. That meant removing all money from your deck and only playing Possessions was usually optimal, which although it isn't a problem today contributes massively to infamy.

Thank you; I always try to find something that matches the theme to some degree, though sometimes I stretch it. In this case, my thought process was "Who has dominion over all?".

Nice review. Interesting take, in that you have some really unpopular sets much higher than expected. I personally put Alchemy in my top 7 or so, so everyone has their own preferences! I'm personally not sure how you afford all these expansions - they are prohibitively expensive, which is why I have not purchased yet :( They also NEVER go on sale.

I specifically avoided looking at other's lists until after I wrote the script, though I did go back and see what others thought once I'd played (over 200 games total!) and written up my thoughts. As for affordability, if you look in the video description you'll notice I put a disclaimer that I was given a review copy; it's not on every video, but on those that it is it means I discussed the idea of doing a video with someone involved with the game beforehand, and they agreed to send me a copy. I try not to let this effect my opinions, but I leave that to you and other viewers to decide. And on an additional note about Alchemy, I don't really mind it in and of itself- but it has what I call "The Ascension Problem": It's not that it's a bad concept, it's just that it doesn't mix well with other sets.

That's why I wanted to do this video; it's a lot to expect players to jump in all at once like that, and it's better to pick a couple you like and start there.

I appreciate, how many ideas there are with each expansion. No expansion felt useless. Sometimes, its even critized that there are too many ideas in an expansion (Nocturne, Allies f.ex.)

It seems to have really taken off with Adventures; that's not to say there weren't fun ideas before that, but they really started to branch out with what the game could do from that point forward.
