@Jason please rewatch - this sets precedent as they already settled out. Even though they dodged responsibility, they assumed it to end litigation. My guess is they’re desperate to settle Smartmatic suit before it goes to court. But again, I know people who work for the company, they want blood. That can change and we’ll see. They’re asking for $2,700,000,000 and a full apology, and if they don’t receive it, they’ll take it to court and prove why they do. And my money is on them. The evidence is already good, but add a case settled out for the same accusations - again, will take some expertise for caution and they’ll most likely win.

Weigh the risks and benefits. If they challenge the lawsuit, a NY judge might be biased and favor the lawsuit to punish Foxnews. Also, it’s bad publicity to keep a lawsuit going, you try to get a peaceful resolution ASAP. Nevertheless, this will prevent news agencies from ever challenging election software again.

I would have preferred a trial with deep discovery on both sides. If there were any anomalies in voting machines, no matter how small, that would be nice to know. If there was a concerted effort to subvert the election by trying to disqualify machines based on innuendo, that would be nice to know. I think it would have been more comforting to weigh the full evidence so when I vote I have no doubts about anything.

I don't know that they lied, I saw a video of a dominion employee I think he was actually the main guy himself, presenting his machines capabilities and he clearly stated that his machines could connect to the internet and he went into how the machines could be manipulated. After the 2020 election, the same guy came out and denied everything he said about the machines in his sales video. This whole argument is about some technicality about the smartmatic circuit boards that are used in the dominion machines. And I'll wager that not one lawyer thought to use that sales video as evidence
