@@romulusnuma116 No it dont, but it ignore slash/pierce/blunt damage resistances, such as those you get from the fortitude bless or temper flesh However, the lifedrain attack that one of the foul spawn gets, is both magic and untyped damage, so a bunch of them could be good for killing some types of thugs

I think part of the reason Crossbreeding doesn't see that much use is because the nations with easy access to it happens to be nations with easy access to other cheap chaff as well. They all can summon animals/wolves, and in addition a lot of them have other means; Lanka with its reanimation, Pangaea with its maenads, and so on.

Black rose tower is in a set of magic sites that grant insane mages but are so rare many people never see half of them. That said I know no one who has seen black rose tower outside the mod inspector off the top of my head, and you would not forget what those sorceresses would do to a game.

I've found the blackrose tower, but only in a single player game. And yes, it changes things.

I've only played single player, and I've only seen these twice on two huge maps - Archaea & Oeridia.

it has the unique tag and forest location, so it can only be in one forest per map, but its rarity is only one, so, middle of the line, it should be quite encouterable (all information from mod inspector, I don't remember if I ever found any, it's true that those are quite good, but I can see me ignoring and then forgetting about them in many cases, to start off I make maps with 800 provinces to play in, then I play only singleplayer and when I "play" then it's mostly to test a specific thing, so I don't really care a lot of the time and I don't even read the reports of what I've found, I mean it's 800 provinces maps with most of the time only 8 nations on them, I search multiple provinces a turn for most of the game, I see in the overview well enough how many gems I get)

I was playing a mod nation package (Alexsas). I was playing a nation that had no recruitable troops, and commanders were all assassins. One of my assassins was blood and nature mage, and I ended up forming massive armies using crossbreeding. Used mother of monsters as well! Won the game.

might be worth noting for those with Ettinthugging ambitions, that besides Gift of Reasoning (thau 5 n4 20n gems) there is also Divine Name (thau 7 s5 25s gems)

I made a bunch of ettin thugs in a Mictlan game once. It's great that they start with 15 MR, you can get them up over 20 MR pretty easily with gear and then they're quite tanky. Not super combatant level, can't solo any big armies, but one or two of them make great raiders.

Edit: Oops! Never mind. I see that you've already done a video about Transformation. I'll go watch that. This was fascinating. Thanks! But what about that Transformation spell? Is it worthwhile? What are you likely to get? (You mentioned a couple of units that might result from it.) That might make an interesting video, too. Just an idea. I'm still learning the game. (And when get tired of it, I move on. The next time I play Dominions 5, I have to learn it all over again. Heh, heh.)
