Thanks for the imaging of the dismantling process, each of those main legs has graced each pier and SOP (Segment On Pier) over the gentle curve of the Cone Valley Viaduct for the travelers in the future and Fred on the cherry picker.... what becomes of you dear Dominique we ask as we drink to your legless demise.... SIMONC and Air have done you proud and segmental....

Does anybody know for sure where Dominique is going next? I've heard a rumour that it is to be used on Rail Baltica, but so far it just appears to be someone guessing.

The acceptable gradient for motorways is well beyond the gradient limit for railways, so a lot of motorways are simply too steep for a railway to be built along the median. A lot of motorways don't have a wide enough median to be able to build a railway line in the median. A lot of motorway interchanges would have to be completely rebuilt to allow for railway lines in the median. A few cities in the USA have sections of railway line in the medians of motorways. The traffic noise makes it necessary for staff to wear hearing protection on the platforms, and station access is awful.
