Therefore, Africa or FrancAfrique remains poor despite have a long and historic relationships with France and the West!!!!

Why doesn't France24 addresses the elephant in the room? WHY WHY WHY? Is Niger the second poorest country in the world? What has France done with all the Uranium it extracts from the country? Why is France not paying a fair price for the resources it extracts? Why Why Why does this channel not ask the question the people of Niger are asking of France and its Neo colonial behaviour. Why do Francophony African countries need to pay colonial tax. Why are they using valutas printed by France and have to pay for that. Why do African countries need to hold their bank reserves in France national banks?

It's hilarous to hear what the male panalist is saying, teaching africans democracy? he clearly does know the history , what the West should do instead is to let them choose their own path , it is a huge mistake to try to patronize them , Who said Democracy was the only system which is good for every country? they should choose a system which would be good to them politically, culturally and socially, and if the west wants to continue to be their partner, it is important for the west to let them decide on their own.

The concept of “the Domino Effect” is a quintessentially colonial framing of concerns over extra-national transitions, one which presumes the desirability of preserved suzereinity over satellite states. The irony should be readily apparent as it was expressly the Domino Theory which France passed on to the U.S. in its struggle to reassert colonial control of IndoChina. We based our entire misguided approach to Cold War foreign policy on this concept and as a result fostered brutal dictatorships throughout the world to secure OUR “beneficent” suzereinity. Add to the current stew the new fears over Russian meddling and a return to such misguided and disastrous agendas seems hard-wired into our collective amnesiac foreign policy mindsets.

There is a lot of competition in Africa, and the West has a poor record. The West needs to repackage itself when it comes to the continent - else others will eat it's lunch.

This is the mindset that necessitates why Europe needs repackaging its policy regarding West Africa, in the first instance. Why is Africa Europe's lunch, for ever? Nothing lasts forever. Especially, when you collected the lunches, failing to pay for it squarely.

Maybe if France was honest and transparent with the people , respect and treat them as they treat the French people in France .the African leaders and people have been disrespected For a mighty long time. And their resources have been exploited for decades , it’s about time Africa take hold of their resources and manage their business themselves. And all the African leaders who are still operating in a corrupt manner should stop the dishonesty and work honestly for their country and people
