I ate only soup and water for about 9 or 10 days when I was sick with what may have been coronavirus and Jesus and the angels came into our house and delivered me from the heart issues that came with it, and delivered me from evil spirits, and I recovered. I was also standing on the word daily, and am always in the Word daily and have an intimate relationship with Jesus and live a holy life. Fasting allows the Holy Spirit to really move, Jesus to be superimposed on/through us, and demons to flee. Fasting allows you to easily hear the voice of the Lord. Fasting has ALWAYS been tremendously beneficial, all my life. People have no idea how helpful fasting is. I have lived a fasted life, avoiding most things that most people enjoy, for decades. It's powerful!

Fasting is the best. It is the key. I got healed. GOD HEALED ME through fasting and praying. First i did it for 3 days with my pastors praying for me, after recovering i did it again for 7 days , just with water, and praying and reading the bible. I didn't use my phone no calls nothing . I've been struggling with drugs, pornography, masturbation and fornication, even though I've been actively participating in the church.. I shared my struggles with a pastor online because I was sick and tired of living that life.. I just really want to be completely set free from that life because it was literally ruining my Christian faith.. an individual who I don't really know went to my comment and greatly encouraged me, told me to fast from sun down to sun set for 28 days.. been fasting for the past few days now before stumbling on this great sermon. They key of fasting is to have intention, a purpose. Without that you are just starving yourself. Fast for something specific and pray for that during your fast. Will make a big difference and also motivate you during the fast.

I remember when I first fasted a couple of years ago, I decided to do 24 hours, and just read the word, I kept getting distracted and by about 8pm I was just thinking about food. I'm not sure if that endeavour was totally useless, but I've learnt so much from it. Praise God.

Wow this title got my attention because I've literally been fasting and praying for a "domino effect" of people getting saved one right after another in my family. Hmm, I'm listening! EDIT: not long after posting this God told me a specific 16year old cousin of mine would be the first "domino to fall" of revival in my family as I was praying for her while waiting for her to come to a prayer service I invited her to. In the end she turned down my offer and didn't come. 2 years later, and yesterday she got baptized and has given her life to Christ along with her boyfriend! Praise God!!!!!! He's faithful!!!!

I have done one to three-day fasts, one-week fasts and even a 45 day fast. But the one that has worked best for me is a 16-8 daily intermittent fasting, coupled with daily praying in the Spirit. I have been doing it for months now. As a result, I am experiencing more insight and relationship with the Holy Spirit. It has over-flowed over to all other areas in my life, less inclination to the flesh and more spiritual discernment. I find myself wanting to pray more, asking God to mature me, embracing trials and assignments God gives me (and being thankful for them!), less anxiousness and more peace, more inclined to be willing to wait upon the Lord, times of weeping in repentance, insights and healing of some times in childhood, words of encouragement and pray for others, a growing boldness to share Jesus, etc. This did not happen over night but has grown over time as I have stayed committed. Life is still challenging but it is actually like an adventure, as in "What will the Holy Spirit have in store today?!" So I encourage you to go for it!

I completely agree. A friend of mine had thoughts of suicide so i decided that i will only eat at noon . While i waited till noon i told myself i will pray and read bible. It was not for health reason but for salvation of my friend. Mm I so feel this reading this. I started fasting one day a week most weeks the beginning of this year. I've never been so close to the LORD. I skipped almost a month in August due to some travel etc and I really felt dry... I was wanting to fast for a longer period but kept feeling paralyzed like I needed a perfect plan but I felt the Holy Spirit say to just fast for one day to break out of the pattern of not fasting. Sure enough it brought me that focus and clarity in Christ to even get direction on a longer term (7 day) fast plan for something specific. I'm eating in evening during these 7 days (in my normal one day a week I usually don't break until the next day). I really feel so emboldened in Him and close to him and feel my faith is growing day by day!!

The People who have no food are not fasting because of the same reason as Christians. You have to be a Christian to get the blessings /reward in a covenant agreement with God .The fact that people have no food to eat opens up a whole new topic because God has given some people money and they are wealthy and are supposed to help the hungry.The not so rich people seem to give more to the hungry than the rich do.We are here to help each other and Christians should pave the road to helping the hungry in the first place.When you talk to a true Christian logic goes out the window because of miracles and an unseen God.Logic is limited by verifiable evidence.But if you cannot see that God has created existence by his wonders of the world,the human body where if one cell is off the whole thing is wrong, animals, how they survive and serve humans the list goes on! My very first fast was the ester fast,and i defaulted i feel I did not do it right,but the 2nd time was full 3 days and 3 nights without any food just water and it was amazing I remained grounded in the word and my walk with Christ amd ive only seen miracles happen since,Fasting is so so imperative ❤ You will see everything so differently when you receive the blessings 🙌

Superb explanation re fasting n its spiritual effect/gains in our life thanku Pastor God bless you. I wud like to share also something similar to fasting is to become like a child innocent in all our ways as Jesus said unless u become like a child u shall not enter the kingdom of God. 1 lady who was in last stage of cancer almost dying in India decided since she was going for sure wanted to sell all her property n gv to poor she started preparing food for street children everyday n put up a small stall wherr poor children frm the street were fed on a daily basis she found immense joy n peace in doing so as she was counting her days she continued what she felt was the rgt thing to do n so months passed n at some stage she had to visit her doctor for maybe the last test n to her surprise miracalously her cancer dissappeared n the doc had no explanation but we can surely sense how God works in our lives. Im sharing this to inspire n encourage all those who hv lost hope 🙏
