you know what? Kevin is kind of a breath of fresh air. I'm not even kidding, I've only seen a couple minutes of him so far and he brings kind of a straight man charm to the grumps. Barry wasn't just an oven, he was like an oven that added all kinds of epic shit to your pizza that you didn't even ask for or expect. Kevin, on the other hand, is like an oven. He edits the episodes yet adds no entertaining content to it. That's why the editing is so plain/non-existent now.

Pretty decent intro sketch. I kinda missed sketches, like the T-shirt commercials. I am kinda sad that the Grump room is no longer the recording place. Though, unlike some of my past criticism of the show, I really shouldn't complain about that. We don't even see the Grump room. Plus, unlike when Jon was on the show, Dan never or rarely uses stuff in the Grump room for goofs. I don't know about this Kevin guy, but hopefully his inclusion is like Dan's, where we ended up loving him as much as Jon for the most part, if not more. Plus, Barry's not really leaving. :)

It's kinda been screwed over by how the comments section goes. And of course people aren't calling him Kevin, they're calling him "that asian kid". And before people were complaining that Barry hasn't been doing enough funny edits, but now they're all upset they've got a new editer with more free time and thus, more edits. Of course Kevin's gonna be quieter than Barry, he's new, and now Barry can do more of his own stuff, and he can also play more games on steam train. I really like this new development. Yay Kevin!

The difference is that if they made a video like this when Jon was leaving, it'd be more welcoming and understanding, but when Jon left he made a quick messy video alone depicting that there was some drama behind it and it was a horrible way to end things with him. I had a suspicion Barry would stopping to edit Game Grumps and Steam Train soon, seeing as he hasn't done his 'wacky effects' in a while and I'm totally okay with that! I think the little sketch they put together was very well thought out and made, hilarious in fact. I actually pretty excited to see what Kevin (Wow feels a bit weird saying that!) does for the channel, I'm sure his skills will grow over time, after all he was taught by the master! This is a kinda cool theme with Game Grumps. A lot of people forget that Barry was actually in the same position when Jon decided to stop editing and get someone else to do it. In fact, it was exactly the same, because even Barry needed to imitate Jon so no one got upset about it. Once people were comfortable and didn't really notice, reveal it.
