We still had the costumes in the stores and were still using him when I left there in the late 90s. If they were trying to "forget him," they wouldn't have let us keep using him, let alone still been selling the costume and other Noid merch from the Emporium to franchises. That case where one of the drivers ran into someone out on the street was one of hundreds if not thousands. It was an ongoing joke about Domino’s drivers back in the late 80s early 90s. To the point where people were saying if you see one, run or drive the opposite direction. Because if the drivers didn’t deliver those pizzas in 30 minutes, they would have to buy them themselves. Meaning that their paychecks would be docked for the price of the pizza, If they failed to deliver on time. Which, once the lawsuits started happening, they quickly rescinded.

@@eatmerawww69 bro stop being so petrified the 30 min guaranteed policy is gone now (unless the one you mentioned is not related to it) and the chance that a noid incident would happen again is INSANELY low. also, it is not entirely dominos fault that the noid incident happened, as how would dominos think that a paranoid schizophrenic named noid would come into one of their stores and have a hostage situation.

Brings a whole new meaning to "avoid the noid" Honestly tho how could domino's have known someone was actually named that and would get teased for it?
@CYB3RC0RP2 жыл бұрын
He was released from treatment after three months? Sounds like a bad idea. I remember hearing that guy who beheaded someone on a bus in Canada a while ago was released as well and now lives among normal people under a fake name. Recently heard some "mental health professional" claim that being found not guilty by reason of insanity doesn't mean you're getting off easy and in fact often means you'll be spending more time "put away," just in a treatment facility rather than a prison, but if you can behead someone in front of a busload of people or hold two people hostage for 5 hours in a Dominos and end up right back out on the street again, it seems like something's off here. If you have a little episode like this I'm never going to trust you again, I don't want you secretly being my neighbor, I don't want you walking around the community where my kids play.
@gamesthatiplay90832 жыл бұрын
I remember the bus beheading too... how people were angry because no one stopped him. This is true about insanity. People feel they can beat the system by doing insanity, but most judges will say "that's exactly why you shouldn't be around society." The Waukesha masacre that killed kids and grandmas is currently going for an insanity case, but psyche evaluations already know if you're fit or unfit to stand trial. If you're unfit, there's no trial. If you're fit for trial, then usually the insanity is a lie, and just a ploy.

There's a mistake in this, you said the campaign both began and ended in 1986 yet the incident happened in 1989 while the ads were still running. It turns out the Noid ad campaign started in 1986 and it seems like it ended in 1989 for obvious reasons.
