Hopefully Gilmour and Waters will release any Syd material that they have in the Floyd vaults. 2023 looks to be the return of the painter the piper.

fun fact .. david gilmore is on record saying he and syd couldnt agree on the backing guitar sequence for this tune.. then syd said play it backwards and i will sort it.. so thats what they did and syds backward guitar solos are layed down while he listened to the track BACKWARDS.... GENIUS

Great animation! Also, that backing track probably doesn't get enough love. Makes you wonder if Syd would have gotten a few more miles if he just gave up on songs and did more instrumentals like Eno did after his first three solo albums. Maybe work with a band again to carry a bit of the weight. Ah well. He left the industry on his own terms.
