PABLO TORRE FINDS OUT

Күн бұрын

The ESPN host and ex-NFL union president explains why he's not worried about his eulogy, what happened to his candidacy for NFLPA executive director, and what he learned at Harvard Business School. Also: the milk check, the original MySpace, expensive mahogany, and more of Pablo's tortured metaphors.

You know you're listening to something good when you can relate to, and learn from what you're listening to, but about halfway through this podcast really connected. This, as everything Dom is a part of, was great

Thank you Domonique and Pablo for that rich spiritual food. I quit my job in February, 14 years in a call center and I've been playing call of duty and smoking weed trying to find my purpose and this gave me a great push in the right direction. Thank you again for providing another chance to find the meaning of my trials while wondering what's on Pablo's porn history.

“No matter how high you are on a mountain, if there are no dips and no valleys, then you’re just on a plane!” Domonique is my favorite kind of brilliant; the kind where he’s so confident in his brilliance he never feels the need to go out of his way to show it.

@@romeyrome32 I'm asusming it'll happen, no way they don't spend 2 seasons together hosting a show and NOT do an episode together for this. I still maintain that High Noon had all the necessary ingredients to be a fantastic show, but ESPN couldn't get them combined in the right way to succeed. That and so many sports purists just hate Bo and to a lesser degree Pablo because neither of them conform to their standards of sports coverage. Smh.
@romeyrome32
@romeyrome32 11 ай бұрын
@@Brogenitor We seriously have to stop agreeing so much. Lol. High noon was a really good show but unfortunately dummies in the media, their tv partners and the fans want dumb down, hot take, asinine sports analysis without any kind of nuance. Who can say the most outlandish garage for ratings, perfect example, Skip Bayless. UGH. The purists hate Bomani and Pablo for many reasons one which of is their intelligence and how they're opinions were so smart, well thought out supported by facts and fair.

Nothing wrong with feeling good with what you’ve achieved and what you have, the idea of needing to do more with no relationship to the why can be an endless doom loop where success is meaningless. Glad you two made the decisions and made good on the opportunities that led you to where you’re at now sharing it with us all!!

Great conversation fellas. I “squandered” a law career to be a stay at home dad and have no (well, few) regrets. When I meet people who I “could have been” I use my observed lack of education or ambition as a super power. I can sneak up on them without them ever knowing it. Keep up the good work.

The US only finds maybe 1% best athletes. I've never lost a race in elementary, junior high or high school. I joined the Army after high school (went to & finished college while in the Army) & I never lost a race in the 100, 200 (unofficially broke the 200 record that was held by Carl Lewis in 1985), 800, 1 mile & 2 miles. One guy beat me in a 2 mile race, but I beat him several times after that. I ran in several 5 &10 mile races & one marathon. I had respectable times in those races only managed 2nd place several 5 mile races & had to make sure I at least beat the 1st place woman in the other races. The one marathon was just to see if I could run non-stop for 25 miles. I did it & never wanted to do it again. I beat several NBA, NFL & college athletes in all of those races. I ended my work career (retired at age 42) as a Lead Scientist & Head Intelligence Analyst at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. I've owned my own boxing gym & fitness training facility ever since I retired so kids who remind me of myself as a kid might get discovered.

I will neither watch nor listen to today's episode, because I dislike Domonique Foxworth for what he did in 2022. During the 2022 NBA playoffs, Domonique said that Golden State had zero chance of winning the NBA championship. And during the 2022 NBA Finals, Domonique doubled-down by using his hands to make eyeglass frames around his eyes to accentuate that Golden State had 0.0% chance of winning the championship. Those "dumb-dumb" hot takes are the reason that if Domonique Foxworth on a show, I immediately change the channel! Or in the case of a podcast, I refuse to listen or watch.
Cute kitty gadgets 💛
