If people still think there's is a better 1-stop DAW then Cubase, then show me. Because nothing beats Cubase, not by a 100 miles. Dom, you are the MAN. Your video's are truly inspiring and, just like the official Cubase channel itself, they teach me new stuff every time. So thank you!

I've worked in music performance and production for nearly 40 years and used Cubase extensively for over 20 of those, but I'm still learning so much from Dom's videos. As well as being informative they're very well put together and enjoyable to watch. These videos are such a great resource and he's a great ambassador and tutor for Steinberg. His other product and production videos are not too shabby either. Bravo Dom!

from my own point of view...i'd always had cubase from around 2007...usually cracks....but ableton was my own....around '19 i bought cubase 10 (i think), but had dongle issues (now resolved)....but still ableton was the main...however last year i began to focus more on cubase and learn it ...almost in parallel with Studio One....it seems Cubase is winning me over. love studio one, ableton is cool, but cubase is the whole 9 yards...dom's enthusiasm is a huge part becasue there's so much content...there are other great instructor's out there, but his relentless content provision matches the thirst either for a) a new user, or b) someone who is transitioning.

You know I love everything with cubase. But this is one of the functions I use daily, and LOVE! For me it saves hours and hours of trying to find the "right" arrangements. Then when I'm done I just use the generated voices as a guide that I then sing after. A good idea for future updates would be an option to actually be able to randomly time shift the generated files. It took me a while to try that myself. You Rock!
@MrOwl888 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, Dom! I might what to record backing vocals, but I have a problem with music theory and I can't always figure out where the big third is and where the small one is. And then when I know the chords of my song, it turns out that I can create back vocals with a couple of clicks! I didn't realize before how cool Cubase is! The only minus of Cubase is that it not so intuitive, and without guides like yours not so easy to do something.

Clearly great ! And of course with the power of variaudio you can then custom each note with the colouring function saying if you still are in the chord or the scale. I think Chord track + harmony + variaudio really make the difference compared to other daws.

For those who want to use the main mentioned functionality with the existing chords in a song you are working with, but don't know which chords these are (or you just want to "borror" them for your track), you can use Yamaha Chord Tracker App (ISO & Android) and its free. This will take ANY song and break down the chords the song is using. Also, the delay tip, is great for using with a single instrument you do not have a double take and you want to have a counter instance paned in the mix eg a guitar. This is what I love about Dom's videos, they are full of side-tricks. One last thing, I have the Waves Harmony, and it is a joy to work with, Dom did a review and its out of this world, but knowing how to work with harmonies using native power in Cubase I feel it gives you more (different should I say?) flexibility and makes you undeniably a better mixer. Great video, thank you Dom ❤ p.s. Adding the harmonies voices to a group and using a Quadrafuzz (a preset for background or your own sauce subject to genre) does please my ears a little more in most cases.
