The music!! The harmonies!! Everything is so satisfying!

From where I sit, this was doable a long time ago with another software. The fact that this is integrated is great.results are quite listenable and gives you the tool to try all kinds of combinations so you can bring your preferred lines to the 2 top session singers in L.A. or Nashville when you get the songs re-recorded for Real!! Not a cheat, a creation tool. Nice presentation, easy to follow, well done! Thanks.

Hi Steve, compliment! A very well done and very easy to understand tutorial. It is also a blessing for the somewhat older musicians who grew up with the music of the Sixties & Seventies that a Smooth-Jazz and an earthy Rocksong was chosen as a "working and sound example". It's almost panicking these days when you see how much "music" is made these days with "MIDI chord packs", Hip-Hop and autotune. These 3 or 4 chord progression "loop songs" sound alike 😐🙈

This is great, take it one step further and actually sing over the generated harmonies and blend your real voice with the generated voice and I believe you will be truly amazed. I do this all the time.

Hi Steve, thanks for sharing some light on this DAW the video is so sweet. I'm lost on the fact I cannot find my scale assistant under vari audio time 11:52 just not showing in sidebar. any ideas where it could be lurking? Looked through preferences, but no luck
@Featherlightstudio2 жыл бұрын
Hmm, Scale assistant shows up in Cubase Pro/Artist/Elements but Vari Audio 3 only shows up in Cubase Pro/Artist. Clicking on the down arrow to the left of 'Scale Assistant' should show the drop down menu.

@@Featherlightstudio so your quick response, made me think again and I realized I was in Cubase 11, not Cubase 12. Went to Cubase 12 and guess what I found? Thank you for your awesome tutorials very happy with everything you do.

First time I heard "realistic harmonies". What do you think: does Ligeti provide realistic harmonies in Lux Aeterna or Clocks and clouds ? Or Scriabine in the 9th sonata or Stravinsky in Le sacre du printemps ? No, really. "realistic" is very unfortunate, because parallel 5, 6, 7 or anything do are realistic ! Liszt, Chopin, Stravinsky, Debussy used that a lot ! Maybe canonical to a certain aesthetic (baroque or classic, I guess, or old jazz).
@Featherlightstudio2 жыл бұрын
lol ... as opposed to harmonies that 'sound like' Auto-Tune, T-Pain, ect. Each has its place in production, just depends on what your style of production needs.

A little too fast for my ears but the possibilities are endless listening to your results. can you take two measures of a vocal and show us slowly how you could add a third above harmony to the lead using the bounce audio technic?

You can also use octaver to pitch shift for similar effect (it's quicker if you just want a straight alto or falsetto and tenor part, but more limited in what you can do).
