Verky is for sure a GOAT in my opinion. He really epitomizes parkour street culture. One of my personal GOATs is also Benj Cave. I think the way him and Max influenced rooftop parkour with the cavemen series was huge. He edges out Max for GOAT status imo in a way similar to Phosky. He's so fluid, efficient, and precise with his movement, not to mention being one of the best parkour google maps scouts ever. Benj's mental game is so solid and he is the backbone, workhorse of Storror.

The beauty of parkour is precisely that you could make a top 10 list for each country and you would get an incredible variety of skills and styles even within a single list. Being from Spain myself, the galizian scene has always been legendary... but there are _so many names_ behind it, behind that buttery smooth and flowy style! We always end up rallying behind a single name, but in many cases it's such a massive, collective effort. Personally, since I'm not much into tricks -because otherwise Torhall is just a broken secret character that wasn't meant to slip into reality-, the most inspiring traceur for me is Matthias Mayer. He might not be the best at any single thing, but he's top-tier at everything, including ingenuity and creativity, and combines all the skills into something truly special. I think he is not just one of the most versatile and well rounded athletes in the game, but also has that extra spark that makes him stand out. His partner, Lisa Eckert, is also one of the best female traceurs we have around. You definitely deserve to be on the list too. I got to admit the first few videos I saw of you a few years back I thought you "could only" do insane gaps with front or sideflips... but then I kept watching... frontflip drops, sideflip gaps, kong-front pres, long jumps, dive rolls, repeat half of the previous with +360s... You are the best in the world at most of those, *by far*, and then still world class at precisions, reverse and kong pres, descents, double kongs and many more. Mentally, you are also on another level. And I kinda think sometimes we don't see more simply because you are already so impressive at so many things that it might feel like a waste to spend time recording your other "lesser" skills, but I would honestly love to see you try to record a serious video where you don't rely on any of your signature moves. Oh, and nice mention of Oleg Vorslav from the Storror guys, what a legend.

@tinne26
@tinne26 3 ай бұрын
@@aaronkeane2336 Agree, and I think it's a similar case to what I mentioned for the galizian scene; the singular talents in the Munich scene wouldn't have gotten to shine so brightly without the contributions of the whole community and the continuous exchange of ideas. They are all really creative because that's part of their own local parkour culture and identity. Jannis probably played a pivotal role in that, so big respect to him.

Havent clicked on a video that fast in a while. I am also a huge fanboy of Daniel illabaka (even though i am just now unsure how to write his damn name :D ) his clean, precise and determined movement made the biggest impression at the right time on me. Nowadays i consider oleg vorslav an underrated misunderstood genius. And you Dom, you are just a freak of nature. Time and time again i doubted that you could move on doing what you do, and than you do something bigger and and better. Also, your style (lifethreatening hights with floaty flips and spins) is the best to preach to and impress non believers ;) And can i once again coin the term „a freerunners freerunner“ for pasha? It's nice to see you pay honest tribute to the pioneers of the sport , and I agree Toby Segar is an amazing athelete , I guess it boils down to what The real meaning of Parkour is, it might be fair to call your brand of parkour as freerunning , but you also do most of the things counted in Parkour , and I am not sure some of the definitions have not changed in recent years. All I do know is that I am 75 years old and I am always amazed at the abilities you posess in diving, and landing on different parts of your body from at least twice as high as anyone else is trying from, also your movements almost always carry huge penalties for even partial failure. Not many are doing that at all, and none at your level. You are unique, in a small group of amazing atheletes, I salute you and pray for you to stay healthy and happy and be able to do what you love for as long as possible. Please do yourself and everyone a great favor and when you know your time is past, stop, before you really destroy yourself. I can tell you from experience, the injuries you have accumulated thus far , will be hard to deal with one day, unless the stem cell research can heal them.

Oh man, as someone who discovered Parkour in 2004 and completely fell in love with the practice, even though I haven't practiced it since 2015, I would like to make a special mention of Sebastian Foucan, the 2nd Father of Parkour. Propio Belle recognizes Foucan's contribution to the sport, and in the early days they gave interviews together about how they began to develop Parkour when they were children in the 80s. If Belle is the God of Parkour (and he is), and Ilabaca is the Jesus of Parkour (and he certainly is), Foucan is the Spirit of the sport. Thanks for the video Dom, you are the current Goat.

True and also he made possible what is arguably the greatest opening scene of all time and I thought that as someone who has watched a lot of movies across the world from East Asia to California (I'm from India) and when I did not even know about parkour and Foucan. He should have mentioned him. Also, maybe the 1902's Martinicians and George Hebert deserve a mention along with Raymond Belle, David's father who taught the sport's founders.

He did a 360 dive kong gainer full to grass, and I personally can’t think of a cooler individual trick that I’ve seen done outside, but probably in general. Elis definitely has potential to become THE GOAT in my opinion, so it was nice to see him on the list. His run in semi finals at either sp2 or sp3(I forget which) is THE best line I’ve ever seen. Started with a very technical flyaway pre straight to a cast kong gainer without extra swings… just insane!

One of these days, I'm going to make it on one of these lists. It might be a list of old people that need to retire, but I'm going to make it on one! 😂😂

I think Oleg Vorslav should be in the list. His "Out of Time" from 2009 has banger-move after banger-move, with an incredible style, even by today's standards.

David Belle will be the biggest GOAT in my book. Not only because he's the creator but because he (and some other OGs like the Yamakasi guys) showed what is possible with the combination of will, training and strength. The strength they had in their movement is rare to find now. A lot of people are amazing at parkour now, but when i look at the old videos there is a strength in the movement that is just awe inspiring. But when it comes to pure beauty of movement Daniel Ilabaca is untouched in my opinion. There have been and are right now many other amazing athletes but no one comes close to his movement.

Bro... was thinking Verky as you were saying Elias's rival. I hope his injury doesn't hold him back!

i want to give sacha powell a shout-out. after his injuries and so forth, he never gave up his training he kept pushing forward, progressing his techniques and skills in parkour. He's truly got the spirit and passion for parkour. i love seeing his progression. i believe having that devotion for the sport is what makes you one of goats.

Beautiful material, the timeline you showed is in every field, thanks to you I was able to learn at least a bit of the precursors in this field, thank you. I have a question because people always judge everything based on the finished results. Have you had a time in your life when you couldn't do a somersault at what age was the first one? because what you are doing now is titanic. Regards Bro

Not really a goat, since he is kinda unknown, but to me, Anthony Denis ("Anthow") from Miramas was the one who made my jaw drop while watching his videos. He's so fast, powerful, precise and fluid while doing pure A to B, it's mindblowing. But yeah, certainly +1 for Daniel and Phosky, they make everything look so easy. However, i would add Sébastien Foucan to your list, he had a huge influence on the world, and is still moving at the age of 50

Your playing Windmill Isle from Sonic cements you as the GOAT as far as I'm concerned, lol! I was actually thinking today when I heard another banger on one of your videos that you have great taste in music often that I've never heard before and then I hear Windmill Isle and I'm checking to see if I have another KZbin tab open, lol! Sonic and Persona music dominate my playlist and I had never really heard much of either three years ago.

I think Joe is really stepping in the direction of being one of the goats... For me, one of the goats is Tim Shieff - He did a lot community wise. I really liked the FLOW channel, and he did a lot for the community back in the day!
