TJGornik61 : This is a wake-up call. Not only do we need serious values screening for all new immigrants but we need to teach them about certain things that are important to Canadians that they must respect, Remembrance Day must become a big deal in schools. We need to teach the young about freedom, what it means and what many have sacrificed for it.

Here in Winnipeg, for most part, the Conservative Party still evokes memories of Harper and they don't know who the new leader is and the NDP destroyed all the hard work, Jack Layton did building the party into a good brand with their last selection as leader, the guy with colourful head ornaments. People buy or vote for products they know by the brand name and even with the mis- steps of the Trudeau Government, it's still the most well known brand in the marketplace.

forever a patriot : Good on you! I’m also trying to make the most out of this incident. We now have a martyr the average Canuck can get behind. I’ve put a poppy on both my coat and my hat ... where they will stay permanently. There’s no shame in showing that our vets are remembered. The firing of Don Cherry will be remembered every Nov.11th from now on.
@watcher69355 жыл бұрын
forever a patriot , I agree. Ron sunk as low as you can go. They shamed Don then the one closest to him stabbed him in the back. Then they dressed him in purple before they crucified him. They literally did on KZbin 10 mins before he was fired posted a coaches corner from last year with him in a purple jacket. They took it down right after they posted he was fired. This is deeper than people think. It's about the Anglo Christian way of life being erased all over this planet right now. I stand by that. I love everyone but I'm not okay with erasing any one culture.
@watcher69355 жыл бұрын
forever a patriot , I put a plaid cover on my poppy for Don and I'm wearing it everywhere.

Watcher 693 : I so very much appreciate what you're doing. That poppy is a powerful symbol. Anyone who attacks it is going to have quite the battle on their hands. I have LITERALLY been waiting for an incident like this. What a perfect hero/martyr for Canada AS A NATION ... Mr. Hockey getting fired for asking immigrants to respect our vets. I LOVE THIS!!!
@watcher69355 жыл бұрын
Winston Smith , oh it was planned and they could have waited a few days to fire him but they did on 11/11. That was to twist the knife. This is also about the western Christian way of life. It was very much symbolic what they did and I guarantee he was baited into that segment to begin with. He's 85 year old Anglo Christian male. They knew exactly how he would react. They left it on the air and on KZbin all night to let it fester. This was very dark stuff. Now they use this to shame what Canada was and to guilt into changing until it's like other parts of the world where freedoms are gone. Freedoms like speech.

Today's woke people have finally had their way, but I can tell you that the winds of change are coming. Remembrance Day is meant to recognize that the Freedom we have and enjoy today is the reason as to: Why newer Canadians desire to come here ! Many do Not understand meaning of wearing Poppy. Don Cherry is a man of very Strict Principles. Don has made his statement to “People” as in: My fellow Canadians: Be aware that 000’s Canadians spilled Blood and Died in WWII to WIN our Freedom. On Remembrance (1) Day, please respect that we should wear the Poppy with Honour. There was No Prejudice intended. No Insult against any specific Group or People. Recognize if you benefit from being Canadian, well a Veteran is recognized for his/her Military service. Brave veterans fell on many Battlefields, and are to be Respected on: Nov.11th (annually) as part of being: Canadian or American for that matter: USA Where it is known as: (Veteran’s Day) What does Poppy cost vs showing: Respect ! You make a Donation (Any amount of Generosity) Don Cherry expressed Words from the Heart, you should be fully aware: Not Words of Hate. USA/Canada citizens both support: Proud Veterans. Don Cherry, who has supported our Troops overseas, and All Canadians should Honour, respect our Fallen Troops who gave their Lives in War to gain our Freedom which we Enjoy Today ... Point being made: Did you wear a Poppy ? As for: Rogers SportsNet: If Truth be told Rogers is Losing $$$ Money on Hockey and Fact: Rogers SportsNet: Must be so Embarrassed. Happy looking for any excuse to: Fire Don Cherry (Rogers SportsNet: Walk of Shame) Bring Back: Don Cherry ! ! ! Repeat: Bring Back: Don Cherry ! ! ! Canadians for: Re-Elect: “Don Cherry” Campaign.
