I was working in a Video Rental Store on the Saturday afternoon this fight took place, and I had it on my tv in the office, and kept dashing back to check it because a friend kept calling to tell me that Jacquot was actually beating Curry and pulling off the huge upset.

I was a bigtime Curry fan back in the day. Broke my heart watching this. Never knew they fought. I was hoping he got robbed lol but he didn't. Extra thanks for this particular upload!

To be fair Jaquot was great in this fight. Good tight defence and good inside work. It wasn’t just a bad night for Curry

Always loved the team of Tim Ryan and Gil Clancy...Gil's analysis was always spot on and Ryan was a remarkable sports broadcaster. He could adapt to any sport...football... basketball and boxing... probably the hardest of the sports for an every sport play by play guy. He didn't get caught up in reputations and called a fight very objectively. When a big puncher threw a punch that landed on gloves and was blocked, he didn't go wild and he almost always saw the inside punches and accurately assessed who got the better of a furious exchange. So much better than Cosell, Schenkel and Marv Albert...and of course, the babbling of Ferdie Pacheco.

Curry went from being one of the best pound for pound fighter's in boxing to being a shot fighter.Thing is Jacquot had no power but curry had no answers.

May the better man win! Jacquot was better than Curry on this particular night & he emerged the Champion. Very close, in my opinion: 6-5-1. Could've been a draw.

One of the worst hometown decisions and most disgraceful commentaries ive ever heard in 57 years of watching boxing. The crowd were cheering wildly everytime jacquot missed 5 or 6 punches in a row and Gill Clancy mustve been going senile he was crediting hacquot all night for hitting currys gloves or misding with his pitty patty arm punches. Curry won this fight ffs!!!!!. They seemed to penalise him and ignore his punches because he was shot and not the old Curry...they seemed to want a big story currys demise and frances first world champ sinvec1959.Curry was still levels above jacquot on this off night in terms of quality punches landed..mhe rocked jacwuot badly in round 12. A disgraceful decision
