this is an interview after Miami Vice has ended its last season. But you can clearly see that Don is still in his character Sonny Crockett. In other words it seems like Crockett is giving the interview. That's how much he got into that role. Amazing.

Don's hairstyle looks just like the one out of season 1 and 2 of Miami Vice, why didn't he have it like this for 3, 4 and 5? so the show ends and he looks like the original cool looking Crockett again?

SONNY''s season 3 spiky look was cool but it evolved into the never cool mullet. I always felt they should've cut CROCKETT"s long shaggy hair after the season 5 BURNETT arc

It was a shame what they did with his hair starting in Season 3. I don't like the spiky look. The Season 4 look was better, but not as good as the first two seasons. Season 5 was awful, how his hair was all shaggy and long and the ponytail was atrocious. I really like this look he has here personally, with the hair and the clean shave. The stubble was chic, but I still think a clean shave looks best.

Yeah it’s a shame but made sense for the Crockett character as he was burned out and stop caring about his hair. Agreed, early season 3 was cool but later season 3 with the mullet but still spiked on top was awful. See episode “everyone’s in showbiz” to see what I mean
