Man I wish I was old enough to attend this event but was only 2 years old! I'm only 24 but The Andy Griffith Show is in my mind the greatest Television show that has ever come out on Hollywood! So sad that Don, Andy, and John are all gone now but their legacies will never be gone! Thank you guys for all the joy you brought us on TV

As a child, i grew fond of both shows he was a part of. I never realized John Ritter would become one of my favorite actors and then have so much in connection with Don, both on and off the set. Chris Reeve is my favorite actor, and even that mans left us.

My favorite moment was when, during Mr. Knott’s acceptance speech, someone in the crowd yelled out, “Attaboy, Don!”An allusion to The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, of course (“Attaboy, Luther!”). It was so appropriate and so delightfully funny! :)
