Riverside SUCKED ASS! TERRIBLE--HORRIBLE place to work. What planet are you from?
@RansomShindawakei9 ай бұрын
MOST of the hotel and casinos there in Laughlin are HORRIBLE places to work. The "Tropicana," which use to be "Ramada Express," is considered one of the BEST!

Mr Laughlin was a very nice approachable man. I bumped into him a couple of times in my visits to the Riverside in Laughlin. I haven’t been back to the Riverside since Covid hit but I am hoping to go this year. I’m sure I will still enjoy it, but I know that it won’t be the same knowing that Don is no longer there. I hope the family continues to run it like Don did. I always admired Mr. Laughlin and always “promoted” Laughlin to my friends. Rest In Peace Don. You will be missed by so many including myself. Hope to see you on the other side Don.

Lived in Bullhead 14 yrs ago really loved going to casinos every week. Riverside was the best. It was so much nicer there than in Vegas. Didn't know he built that bridge, used to take the little ferry boat he had across the river. It was nice. You did good job there Don and brought alot of people pleasure, I'm sure. R.I.P. but you can always come back to visit in spirit form.

I lived in BHC and worked on and off in Laughlin for 10 years. I loved it. Used to see Don all the time. He'd be dumping ash trays in his hotel late at night. He took a lot of pride in his Hotel. Nice fellow. ❤

Don is a gambling legend. First casino I ever went in. November 1988 Thanksgiving week. Saw Johnny Cash in concert. Ate my first of hundreds prime rib room dinners that night. Was only 19 but never got messed with. Saw Don walking the casino often. Talked to him many times at the tables especially roulette Was there last week before New Year. They treat us like kings there I hope nothing changes. Thank You Don for this destination. So much better than Vegas in my opinion.

I always enjoyed going to Laughlin, more affordable to the average guy. First time I went into the Riverside I went right to the windows overlooking the Colorado River, beautiful. I also enjoyed his collection of old slot machines. Never met the man but heard he was a really nice man. RIP

Truly a visionary. He was heads and shoulders above every executive running casinos and hotels in Las Vegas with the exception of Steve Wynn who was another maverick, and both got along well together however Don didn't like going to Vegas often but what he did he was treated well by the other executives

When I had a meat delivery service, he would let me store my products in his restaurant freezer. He always gave me a free room and told me that whenever I needed a room, I should just go up to the office and tell them my name. He also comped all the meals and made sure I had a good time 🎉. He was always available for anybody to come by and say hi. The world lost a legend, a real trailblazer 😢.

He said it right about Las Vegas ha slost some of its personalities. Vegas now is looking more and more like corporate buildings. No soul, no style.
