My Mama died last Dec 23. She had a record of this song on We Sing. I was beside her as she was recording this, taking one glance after the other at me during the entire song. Now, I listened to the song again, and I really missed how she utters "Vincent", as Vincent is my name. I missed her so much. I would give everything just so she could sing this to me once again. Of all the beautiful things in this world, she is that one that I deserve the most. I love her so much.

Vincent, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I also lost my wife of 34 blessed years on December 9th, 2021. We both enjoyed this song, too. I look up to my blessed savior Jesus & He keeps me going. That doesn't mean that I still don't grieve & cry. Stay strong my friend.

*Lyrics: Starry, starry night Paint your palette blue and gray Look out on a summer's day With eyes that know the darkness in my soul Shadows on the hills Sketch the trees and the daffodils Catch the breeze and the winter chills In colors on the snowy, linen land Now, I understand what you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen, they did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now Starry, starry night Flaming flowers that brightly blaze Swirling clouds in violet haze Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue Colors changing hue Morning fields of amber grain Weathered faces lined in pain Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand Now, I understand, what you tried to say to me How you suffered for your sanity How you tried to set them free They would not listen, they did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now For they could not love you But still your love was true And when no hope was left inside On that starry, starry night You took your life as lovers often do But I could have told you, Vincent This world was never meant for one As beautiful as you Starry, starry night Portraits hung in empty halls Frameless heads on nameless walls With eyes that watch the world and can't forget Like the strangers that you've met The ragged men in ragged clothes The silver thorn of bloody rose Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow Now, I think I know what you tried to say to me How you suffered for your sanity How you tried to set them free They would not listen, they're not listening still Perhaps they never will

We had discussed Vincent Van Gogh's life back on our art app subject and yes I have learned that vincent had an illness that something related to his eyesight which explains the wavery paint seen in the starry night artwork, and yes he loved to have a self-portrait. Also, he commits to killing himself. You know what was the saddest? No one bought any of his artwork back when he was still alive. I wish i was there with him tho, to make him feel that he is worth it, make him feel that he is appreciated. By the way i just discovered this song when i randomly watched the voice this song was sung by a girl, forget her name tho. I didn't know this exists.
